HI all. who, among us, played with our toes when a child? I know I did, and i made at least one friend through mutual play with toes, now we learned bounderies through play that way. is playing with toes/feet discouraged among children now adays? has this kind of inocent play been almost regulated out of existance? so in summary, who played with their toes as a child, who liked it, who can admit to doing it even now, years later? I can, though we do it with oils now and call it theroputic. *smile* and who, like me, made a friend through mutual intrest in the activity?
okay, here's my ansers:
1. yes, i did play with my toes when i was a child, play with them in the bathtub, tickle them under the bed covers, and i love it!
2. i do still do it now (well, not play with my own) but have a strange desire to tickle other people's feet. not sure why... i guess i've always been a toe lover!
i've made loads of friends through tickling toes, so enjoyable and fun!
hi time keeper. i think we learnt a lot as children through that kind of play, both what was acceptable and what wasn't as regards touch. now i wonder, as blind children grow up, is the fear of touching among the sighted adults restraining the blind children's development? this is a supplimentary question to the topic question, but should ;provoke more discussion. and time keeper, keep playing with those toes man.
Hmmm1! well I used to play with my feet as a child. I'd tap them on the string of teddies on the end of the pram according to mum and I subconsciously remember playing with my feet as a very young baby because I remember sitting up in my cot at night and feeling them through the bootees in my sleepsuit as I wiggled my toes and revolved my ankles because I liked the texture of the fleece of the sleepsuit and the fact that the bootees had proper soft soles like those soft slippers, the ones I'm wearing now for example, lol. I know I was very small then as I asked mum years later when I came across one of those two sleepsuits again what age range it had on the labels inside and she said birth to 6 months. Fuck me! That was just amazing to think I can actually remember seemingly trivial, unimportant stuff such as playing with my feet and various other toys and things from that young age.
Jen.
hi jen. what this probably nmeans is that the pleasure you got from playing with your feet as a child remains with you to this day. and yes it is amazing how we remember such things into adulthood. i tend to think this is because the things in our childhood have a greater affect on us in adulthood than we sometimes realise.
who, now adult, goes barefoot most of the time? I do, and like it. though there are times where I cannot.
